Located next to Mänttä Club, one of the best-known buildings in Art Town Mänttä-Vilppula, Kiusala Art House is one of the town’s oldest buildings. It was built in 1910 as a residence for senior company officials and has since served various residential purposes.
In 2011, the building was transferred to the Kauko Sorjonen Foundation together with Mänttä Club. The same year, Kiusala became an art house, providing studio spaces for 13 artists who were members of the Mänttä Art Society. Over the years, some changes have occurred among the residents, but most of the artists have worked in Kiusala since the very beginning.
The studios of the following artists are located at Kiusala Art House:
- Annikki Kujanpää
- Hannele Mathlin
- Heli Värrälä
- Hilkka Pirinen
