There is an accessible recreation trail around Pukinlammi pond in the town centre of Vilppula. The adjacent forest and the waterfowl in the pond bring nature close to visitors.
The trail around the pond is broad and flat. Part of the trail passes over wide boards. There is a small wooden arched bridge along the trail, named after the former municipal manager Esa Ranta. A memorial stone for Esa Ranta is located next to Esa’s Bridge.
